River and Area Calendar 2012
Every year your local Rotary Club produces a full-colour calendar of
local scenes and activities as a fundraiser. The photos are submitted to
the email address (calendar@rotarynr.ca)
by dozens of local amateurs, usually by the end of August.
The photos for the calendar are selected by an independent committee
during September. Printing of the calendar is done locally by Digital Copy
Express.
The cost of the printing is covered by local businesses and services
who pay for their logos to be displayed in the calendar.
The 2012 calendars are available now for $10 each at several outlets,
including TC Hair, Harding’s Pharmacy, the Bank of Montreal, the Loon's
Nest, Monica's Pantry and the Beanhouse. Copies can also be obtained by emailing calendar@rotarynr.ca.
Previous year’s calendars have proven to be very popular as Christmas
gifts for living-away-from-home children who grew up locally, or for past
visitors to town.
The calendars have dates of upcoming local events and space to jot down
notes.
